CFSA and Nations Team Up Once Again! - Monday, December 12, 2016

Cy-Fair Sports Association (CFSA) is proud to announce its affiliation once again with Nations Baseball. Nations has been a huge contributor to our success as a baseball organization in the past and, after trying something different in 2016, we feel Nations provides CFSA and our customers with a better partnership opportunity for the future of our programs. “The 2016 baseball tournament season presented us with some new barriers to competition that we were not accustomed to in the past and the importance of having a strong partner became clearer,” said CFSA President, Scott Huntsman. “The decision to go back to Nations Baseball was an easy decision. We have had success in the past with Nations and look forward to a promising future where both of us mutually benefit from the relationship.”

Nations Baseball was one of several partners that assisted CFSA in its growth and expansion over the past decade. Proceeds from Nations tournaments helped contribute to equipping CFSA with the financial means to expand and maintain our two premier complexes at Queenston and Schiel Road. Nations is part of our community and their investment in CFSA and the community as a whole helped make the decision to return to Nations a unanimous one by the CFSA leadership team. “We have some of the best natural turf fields in the area and we want to see the teams come back to play in our tournaments”, said Huntsman. “CFSA is invested in this community and we hope our teams can support us, and Nations, in continuing our mission with the Cypress community.”

Sponsorship Info

Cy-Fair Sports Association requires all teams participating in our Metro league to provide a $300.00 sponsorship.  The monies are used to maintain and improve our facilities while allowing us to keep the league registration costs at a fair market price per player.  All checks shall be written to CFSA.  All team sponsorships shall be submitted to the CFSA office with attention to your team name, age group and head coaches name.  The CFSA office will provide you a receipt for tax purposes upon submittal of your team sponsorship.  Any amount over the $300 sponsorship, 80%, can go towards items purchased for the team.  Items will be paid out of pocket and CFSA will reimburse you based on proof of receipt.  Again this is only for the amount donated over the required $300.

We offer a complimentary team banner to all teams who submit their sponsorship to the CFSA Office by March 9th, 2018.  The deadline to submit your team sponsorship for the 2018 Spring Metro Season is March 26th 2018.  Teams that do not submit their team sponsorship will not be eligible to participate in the end of season playoffs or All Star Games.

Mission Statement

The goal of CFSA Baseball is to provide a place for our youth to learn the fundamentals of baseball and good sportsmanship. To achieve our goal, parents and coaches must work together to teach fielding, throwing, and hitting skills while instilling sportsmanlike attitudes and values such as honesty, fair play, and citizenship. Having a good attitude, winning and losing with dignity, respecting the official's decisions, playing by the rules, and giving maximum effort are equally as important as the development of solid baseball fundamental skills. Coaches, players, and parents are all expected to know and demonstrate the CFSA Fundamentals of Sportsmanship. It is the responsibility of all participants in the CFSA Baseball program to work towards achieving our goal.
